The newly formed Training and Assessment team would like to announce that we will be running an assessment day on Sunday 27th July from 10am at the Bunbury Mens Shed.
Any person wishing to undertake an assessment for any qualification is encouraged to contact the club by email at vk6brc@gmail.com so we can prepare your assessment.
After the assessments are complete, we will be holding our AGM and everyone is encouraged to stay and participate or observe.
Bunbury Radio Club invites you to attend the Great Bunbury Fox Hunt 2024.
Take a trip to Bunbury and enjoy some social time with other Amateurs.
Date: Saturday 13th April 2024 Where: Hay Park, Bunbury When: Hunting starts at 10am and 1pm, arrive a little early for registration.
There will be 2 sessions run thoughout the day. At 10am we will kick off the morning session with 2 hunts, 1 vehicle based and 1 pedestrian based. Enjoy one or complete them both.
We will repeat the sessions again at 1pm after relocating the foxes.
Our foxes run on 2m (FM) so bring your 2m RDF gear and join in the fun.
We will coordinate the event on the Bunbury Repeater on 146.650

It’s been a while coming, but the VK6RBY 2M Repeater is now back on the air.
The repeater output is 146.650 and and input is 146.050 and there is no CTCSS tone.
The repeater is also attached to an Allstar node and will be linked to the VK6Allstar network.
There have been good signal reports from as far north as Mandurah and even Melville with calls from Busselton in the South. Email your signal reports to vk6brc@gmail.com

Last weekend, while in Perth for a working bee at the OM’s place, I managed to make my first entry into Amateur Radio Contesting.
