Amateur Radio is a fantastic hobby with many different aspects for you to explore.
The first task you need to accomplish is gaining an Amateur Radio License. This will open the doors of Amateur Radio to you.
Licensing
There are 3 license levels issued by the ACMA. They are Foundation, Standard and Advanced. Bunbury Radio Club can help you to get your first license or upgrade your existing license.
The club has a WIA accredited assessor who can facilitate examinations for the Foundation, Standard and Advanced licences.
Study is normally carried out through the on-line courses run by the Queensland based Radio and Electronics School, supplemented with local revision and other informal support.
If you would like more information on the Club’s Training and Assessment activities and our next Assessment Day, please email the Training Coordinator Norman Gomm (VK6GOM) at vk6brc@gmail.com
For more information regarding licensing, visit the Wireless Institute of Australia website.
